towing specs for older trucks

I have a 2004 supercrew that I pull my travel trailer with and its a struggle for the truck going up steep to mederate climbs in the mountains. I am considering but an older f-250 (mid 80's or so) just for the purpose of pulling my trailer.

Anyone know where I can find towing capacities for older ford trucks online somewhere so when I am looking over ads on Craigslist, I can look up that particular truck?

Thanks

Whats the weight of the trailer? How far do you drive towing? What type of roads?

Old body style trucks can be set up to do anything you want if you want to work. If not, I'd be lookin' at a newer diesel.
