Talking looking for parts for 82 F-250 4X4

I am looking for a heater control panel for my 82 F-250 4X4, It has air conditioning which makes it have the vacuum control panel on the rear of the unit, it has a vacuum leak there as the unit is 17 years old, My Ford dealer says it is no longer made, discontinued in 94, they did a search of all dealers for old stock items and could come up with nothing, Is there any other place out there that sells these or can rebuild them, I also have dual gas tanks which makes this combined with the heater control panel.
HELP!!!!

Since we're already not welcome here by some members, I'll go ahead and recommend that you join the 1980-96 mailing list at www.ford-trucks.com

The guys there will probably recommend a salvage, but they might just know someplace that does refurbs.

The vaccum (sp?) switch on the back of the control head should be sold seperate under base part# 19B888. Re check the dealer or send me a request at www.doncomerford.com and I will research it more for you.

Darin, funny thing is I just found all the stuff about the 97 & up , before I came to this post & checked to see if I had some help with my problem. I'm sure glad I didn't come here first an actually ask them for help. I'm not into, my things are nicer than yours so stay away , if I see something that doesn't interest me I just move on. Big deal. Besides not everyone can afford new iron! There is a plus to old trucks you can own more than one and not be in debt for 5 or 6 years. Did all that be in big debt stuff when I was young and first starting out and it wasn't that fun.

Superdave-

I hope you understand that I was just joking about us "not being wanted". Heck, I'm even a traitor now (bought a non-Ford product) and I'm still around.

But, in all honesty, the "other" website is a great resource for our pre-97 model trucks. Give it a try.

Superdave, I am taking this whole "if you don't own a 97 - up you don't belong thing" pretty lightly. I think it would have been hilarious if you tried to contact them for some info. Sure the site says online late model source but it doesn't say only late models and there are posting areas (pre 1997). I think if the webmaster (steve) didn't want older trucks on here he would do something about it. Anyone who doesn't think people with pre-97 trucks should be here needs to just relax and deal with it.

Heck, I got rid of my 97 F150 because it would not tow my camper. Loved the truck, but not enough power. Now I have an 86 F250 351W and it tows the box like it isn't even back there. So, I will be hanging around too.

hey eddie: if you want one that cheap your gonna have to do it yourself. best way to get it is find an old beater car that has low miles but looks like crap. buy it cheap scavenge the engine then junk the rest. it can be done but it takes some searching.
