hey, ive been getting lots of quotes and lots of help, both from the boards here (thnax PKRWD) and from mechanics in the phone book. I can get a remanufactured engine for my truck for $2600, it has a 3yer/75k warranty. Does this sounf worthwhile? I was also offered a NEW engine form ford for $2000 plus shipping from Ford. The $2600 is installed, the Ford NEw engine isnt including install. Whaddaya think , guys/gals?

I would go with new, but that's just my opinion.

Go with the jasper engine. It my shop that is the only gas engine I will install. I use to use ford remans but were not of the same quilty. I had only one problem with a jasper engine and that was the fuel pump drive on the cam that failed. They fully cover my shop rate and any parts needed. As for the price that is a very good one.I maintain fleets of fords for contactors.There cost for a engine installed at my shop would be about 3200.00 with parts oil plugs waterpump etc etc I also send and have the raditors cleaned and install new thermostat any other qustions let me know
