re-flashing computer

I was talking to some guys and heard that when you install an intake kit like the one K&N makes, along with an exhaust that your supposed to have your computer reflashed. I guess the computer in the 92 was not advanced enough to allow for that much adjustment in free flow through the engine. I was told that if you dont have this done then your truck won't run right or to its full potential. Does anyone have any knowledge on this? If so where would you go to get it reflashed?

The minor bolt-ons like you're talking about add very, very little performance and will not affect the computer in the slightest. IIRC the threshold value for confusing a S/D computer is somewhere around 12-15%. Thats around 25 HP on a 5.0. You've added maybe 5.

Re-flashing requires the services of a dyno tuner. Bring money.
