I have a 1996 F150 with the 302 and 128,000 miles and have had no isues. I replaced the plug wires and cap and rotator. I also used BG engine sludge remover and put in royal purple motor oil and now the truck is running like its new again with alot of power, the only thing i have done performace wise is a 3inch custom exhaust and a KN airfilter. So i recomend that you use the BG engine sludge remover and royal purple motor oil on top of the plug wires and cap and rotator

Too bad the EPA all but snuffed out the "old" series, the 300, 302, and 351 motors. Seems they had a lot fewer issues than the newer 4.6 and 5.4's.
