fuel filter changed after 120k miles

LOL WOW... I wiped it off and tryed to blow through it and it was hard as hell to blow AIR through it.. especially compared to the new one! then... I put the new one on and holy crap i got like 100x faster throttle response... wow.

Always a good idea to keep the filters changed regularly. Very hard on the fuel pumps to push through.

Id like to change mine, but I need a special tool for my 1992 f150. Anyone know where I can get one?

I had the same thing happen on my camaro. I had just changed the fuel pump so i guess a bunch of dirt and gunk got in the tank. It quit on me one day, couldnt get any fuel becuase the filter was clogged soo bad. I changed it and then BAM!! It was like a whole new beast.

Any auto parts store, just tell them you want the Ford fuel filter tool. Usually about $8

yeah the guy at NAPA (my mom would only take me there cause it was on the way home i usually go to o'rileys this was when the beast did not live) just gave me mine for free but i also bought about 120 worth of parts that day! its a little piece of plastic in my case round with a gap to fit onto the fuel line

Geez, that is a standard set available in a lot of places - very handy - use one of the sizes to undo the high pressure connection to the A/C receiver/drier.

I thunk you all were talking about some obscure part, heck, it's about as common as Torx sockets :-)~
