I got my truck back in 2004? or 2005..? but anyways... I got her with 109000 miles on it and everything was running fine was perfect truck... I did a tranny replacement at about 115k miles? but recently my truck has not been up to par. I seems as if it is making a heavy breathing noise and also sounds like a little whining noise like a battery operated remote control car.. weird. Not exactly sure what it could be but it just isnt giving it all anymore... Anyone have any ideas on what might be goin wrong or where I could take it to have them check it and what I would say to them? also noticed that when i start it up cold sounds like a locomotive from the engine or something of that nature and the exhaust sound is noticeably quieter? any help would be of help to me thanks in advance

 

is the idle high at startup? could be a vacuum leak if so... the vacuum lines on my truck were extremley brittle. any check engine lights?
not sure about the whining noises....
