my 94 f-150 with the 5.0L has 127,000 miles on it and I average around 12.5 - 13 mpg with it. But I just don't feel like mine has the power that it should. I am constantly having trouble going up slight hills without kicking down a gear.

I've seen a '68 302 go 300k+ miles with just regular oil changes (before all the synthetic oils we have now).
I have 5.0 in a '87 Mustang that dyno'ed 345hp at the crank, with GT40 heads, cobra intake, E303 cam and shorty headers. And the mpg isn't too bad if I keep my foot out of it.......

Mine is nearing 165,000 miles, and with the exception of my current TP sensor problems, it runs pretty good.

I've never taken the time to calculate my MPG, but I know it isn't great. Probably in the 12MPG range around town.

My 1995 5.0L just turned 185,000 miles. I replaced the water pump last month, no other repairs, just routine stuff (oil/filters/etc).

My 93 5.0 (E4OD tranny) has 325,000, still get average of 13.5 per gal. Did a lot of towing so my 8.8 w/3:55 gears is whining real bad. Will need to rebuild that before my 5.0 fails.
