Lowering kits? Also Polyurethane bushing questions :D
Where do these people get lowering kits? I've been thinking about it, but I've only found 1 or 2 places to find any. This is only a preliminary research sort of deal, I need smaller tires (mine are already too big for the height of my truck) but I can't even find anywhere to get mine done without a custom job, and I'm not ready to do that without knowing someone personally.
It's a longbed, but I've got big plans if it can be done.
Also, what kind of prices have any of you gotten for polyurethane bushings being installed? I can do the endlinks and the ones that are just slip on, but I don't have anything that can apply 10k of force for some of the harder-to-get-in bushings for the suspension. I've been told between 10-20 bucks a pop for each piece at a straight (non-crooked) shop.
For a '91 Regular Cab Long Bed 2WD, just in case

A friend of mine referred me to DJM last year to get my lowering kits... He told me that their lowering kits and components are designed to give me a maximum drop without losing suspension travel which will alter the ride... Anyway, it seems that we both made a good choice of using a polyurethane/polygraphite bushings... I installed mine as my Honda suspension bushing last year... The complete kit included everything I needed and the ride is not harsh but the handling is improved. I have friends who used regular poly or del-a-lum bushings and the squeaks drive them nuts. The polygraphite bushings have not given me a squeak yet. Maybe its because of its characteristics of both a solid and rubber bushing which will not produce a harsh ride. These bushings will not flex, and will last a long time on a car, once installed... I installed it with the help of my friend.. So, it save me some bucks... But I heard that my friend got it installed from a local auto shop for about 15k.. Good luck!!!
