Gonna stop up that new cat.

Not always. There are 2 way and 3 way converters and some do require air to be pumped to them while others don't. I went with a cat that does not have an air inlet tube and does not require air to be pumped into them to work properly. Also I run GT40P heads now that do not have provisions for the old smog equipment. Here were my results from the test:

CO Max 220ppm: read 14ppm
HC Max 1.20: read .16

Just by sniffing the tailpipe now it doesn't smell like unburned fuel anymore now that I have this setup on the truck.....

Where does the O2 sensor tie into all this. Does eliminating the air pump have any effect on the o2 sensor? My truck does not have a cat, and my new headers have no ports for the air pump. I'd like to eliminate it.
