Mazda 5 speed to ZF swap

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
has any one done this in a 1995 F150 2 wheel drive 4.9? short bed standard cab. I am getting ready to make this swap but I need info on 2 things.

1 how much do I need to move my cross member back?

2 how much do I need to cut my drive shaft?

I have located the ZF but have not got it here yet so I cant measure it. it is out of a 1994 F250 long bed 351W 2X4. I just cant pass it up for 150 dollers. I am also getting a ZF with transfer case for 200 more. dont need it but the price is right and I will be able to sell it to some one.

Do some searching on FSB. Several people there have done ZF swaps, but most of them will be 4WD (of course).

thanks Steve I got the info the ZF is about 7 inches shorter than the Mazda at the yoke. which will work well since I need to put a slip spline in the drive shaft.
