Love mine too, up to 270,000km (167,700mi for those south of the border). Drove out to Long Island this past August and I can't complain about the mileage I got, hit 24mi/imp.gal. for the eastbound trip, and 21 for the westbound trip, normally around home I get 15-18. And like was said above, built to tow, at least once or twice a harvest season I end up pulling 7-8000kg with it from the field to the farm or elevator, with the step bumper hitch, mind you that's only doing 20-25mph lol.

sounds like you get about the same MPG as I on the highway. I still get 16 to 18pulling my trailer, about 4000 lbs.

take it from some one with lots of trailer towing experience. get a good receiver. that bumper is just barely safe to stand on. if you get in some soft ground in the field you will pull it right off. or if you need to stop fast you will push it right through the tail gate.

i hafta agree with bruce on this one, geting a trailer goin with a bumper mount you will be ok or pulling a truck out of a hole. but if you have a trailer that doesnt have breaks or not very good ones the bumper will fold up under the truck with the force of the trailer, remember those are made to fold up in an impact. plus it will wipe out your bed side(s) when it folds(the 97&^ trucks are way worse for this) so we kinda get lucky with our trucks

True that, once you see there's not much to it you'll want to tow nothin' larger than a ski doo for safety.

you can get a good one at the wrecking yard for 20 bucks and they are easy to put on. use grade 8 bolts the biggest ones that will fit and torque them.
