Hello my name is Mike and I am new. My friend "Networker" from here,
f150online said to register and post my question.So here i go.

My speedometer stopped working yesterday and along with that, I now have a constantly blinkig "OD " light on the end of my shift lever.

I did some research on here and other sites and found that I should change my anti-lock speed sensor or VSS, which I did and that did not cure my delema. Figures as the VSS was only $11.00 bucks!!

What a night mare just getting the right speed sensor as the auto parts stores kept giving me the one with the speedo cable input(for the tranny mount) even though I told them my truck is a 95, f150, 2wheel dr., 5.0 ltr, auto trans.

My truck still shifts perfectly and the OD button still works, even though it now blinks(the OD light). I also checked the fuses and they are good.

Wow!! I read about 60 posts in the tranny forum pertaining to the flashing od light. My truck still shifts fine with no hard down shifting so I guess for now the tranny is fine.
She`s gettin old these days even though she still looks good I can`t see spending up too 3 grand for a new tranny, plus the possibility if gettin scammed by some scum bag mechanic


So to make the story short I just bought a Garmin c330 street pilot GPS. It tells me where to go(like most women) plus I have a speedometer again(safe driver for 11 years now)!!!

So thanks for the help guys and all the info. When she finnaly dies I`m going deisel power
