Here is one that my wife made me sell, because she said I did not need 3 Ford trucks around. I miss it. Best dang truck I have owned, although very rusty. 1986, 6cyl, 4sp, 3in lift, 33x10.5x15 BFG's.

Shame you had to sell it, would have been a nice project.

Adrianspeeder,

Every time I see your black bronco, I think, man that is a nice truck... if you ever plan on selling it, let me know before you list it.

No Kidding, what is happening to these trucks?? What is this 04-07 "Thing"?? I hear 2009 is a new design. Anyone who works for FORD, relay this message to the design team - Crack Kills, leave the pipes at HOME ladies and gentlemen . I don't want to have to buy a Tyrone Biggums designed pick-up. Don't Buy No Ugly Trucks, or whatever the old redneck woman in the old 80's Chevy commercials always said.

I prefer all the pre 1997 F-series. Not saying anything is wrong with the newer ones, just not for me.

2009 Ford is changing again? Wonder what they will look like?

Man....I love these trucks.

I really want a truck like this, but it's gonna be hard coming off of a 2000 S-10 with the 4 cylinder.

I own a lawn service, and looking for a bigger truck. Anyone know the tow rating of each of these engines?

Should I get a 04 or newer truck, or a pre 97?

You'll definately use more gas with a full size, but you'll also get more work done . I don't know the tow rating, but it's not the engine that matters for tow rating, it's more the frame, brakes, suspension, etc. that make the difference. However, the 351 and the 300 definately offer great low end towing power, with the 302 being a bit weak on the low end. The 460 is crazy powerful, but drinks like a fish...

As for which you should buy, I'd say that because you will depend on it for your business, get the newest truck you can afford. You prolly can't afford to be wrenchin on your truck when you are supposed to be makin $$.

I wonder if you can find a 97 f250 powerstroke diesel. Same body style as our trucks, but very good for your application. Good luck!
