These pictures you guys have posted are insane...But It's hard for me not to like 8th and 9th generation fords. I'm 16 and I made the excellent decision to buy my truck. For the high (for a 16 year old) price of 2 grand (Not mommy or daddies money either, made it working hard yard work over a summer) I bought myself a 1993 F150.
It all came together one night, I was surfing craigslist trying to find a vehicle that was cheap enough for me to buy, reliable enough to haul myself up a mountain and down with an elk in the back, but powerful enough to get through the rough winters over here and the sloppy summers on the peaks. I had probably been looking for a vehicle for around 2 or 3 months, scanning craigslist nightly sorting through the plethora of scams, and overpriced vehicles. I eventually ran across this truck and we met the owner the next day, and I bought it after giving it a good look and driving it around. I was ecstatic, I had myself a 4x4.
Immediately after buying, I did a small tune up by myself and looked through a manual for days and days learning about my new ride. I love the truck and everything about it. The dents, the rust, and the scratches all have a story, and I wear them with pride knowing that when I get a little dent or a scratch it's not a big deal, and will show that this is a workhorse, not some prettied up glossy mall crawler.

Sorry for the long winded intro, but here she is in all of her glory.
Ford F150 XLT 5.0l v8 302 5 speed with manual hubs and 31X10.5's on the stock 15 inch rim. All stock with a 4.10 gear ratio and a limited slip differential. I have Almost no power options, besides steering. I've got 176,XXX miles on it right now.
Plans for this truck are to keep it pretty much stock for now, But down the line I'd really like to level out the front end rake with a budget spacer, or grabbing some F250 shocks. I'd also like to drop a lunchbox locker in the front or rear, and maybe when my 302 gets tired drop a 351W in there.
I normally don't like stickers on trucks, but I love Matthews, and It was given to me. Immediately after buying this I noticed 5 or 6 other Matthews sticks popped up in the school parking lot

I'll try to get a good side profile of it some time, but My neighbors charger is in the way for now, but this will have to do.

Don't mind the random door without a **** coming out of the second story garage...I have no clue what my neighbors are doing with it

Earlier this year next to my fathers 1992 5.0l 302. Care to guess which ones suspension has had it's fair share of overloading?

Yeah, I was lucky enough to get the H5 axle code with the 4.10's and the lsd. I honestly don't think the guy knew much about the truck, He didn't even know how many cubic inches the engine was. I will always own one of these trucks, I feel that during this generation, The truck is a truck, and not a plastic box.

1970 F-100 Sport Custom

Got it when I was 14, my own money, parents painted it then everything else was on me. Always thought it was funny that the "Sport Custom" was a long bed.

Looks good, and good plans, but I'd ditch the CAI idea, its way to much money, when the same benefits can be had for less than $30. Follow the "Insulated Intake tubing\Filter Box Mod" link in my sig

you know i have read a few threads on here, and somehow I just knew you were going to say that booba, I wonder about doing a combination, insulating a more direct intake route to the TB, i would think that would make it more efficient and you would get the actual cold air benefits

all cold air intakes have the intake tube (filter) sucking the air in from the engine bay (hot), there are some newer ones that use the stock air tube to help funnel cold air in, but the majority of the air is still warm.

http://www.performanceunlimited.com/...g/airtemp.html

the intake tube from a 460 has the air being forced in from a hole right next to the radiator on the grill, so there isn't much more of a direct route than that.

here's the entire thread:

I would have to take some measurements and look at doing some modding, but what about taking the box out entirely, and running a cone air filter between the grill and the radiator(would you have to box it I wonder?) and then insulating the tubing between the filter and the TB. taking that hard right(to the box) and the hard left(from the box back to the TB) out of the equation

It may work, but I would think the cone filter would get very dirty very fast, if you end up doing it let us know!

A clean stock replacement filter with the inline six or 460 intake tubes, 95 or 96 inline six is the best flowing design, with the heat wrap is most definitely better than any other intake that will end up costing 3 times as much.

The guy who owned her before me is a body man, when he replaced the sheetmetal above the rear wheels he decided to two-tone it instead of trying to match the 10yr old ford blue
