Door Lock

Hello all and Merry Christmas, I will start off by telling you what my problem is. When i bought my 95 Ford F150 the passenger door wouldn't unlock from the outside, ok well i have gotten around to fixing it, so today when i get ready to get in my truck the driver door is doing the same thing. It first started off by not letting me turn my key, then after fooling with it a min it opened the door but now when i try to use the key i can turn it left or right and it wont lock or unlock it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated,. As for today when it happened i was getting out at Walmart and had to leave my door unlocked which left me a bit uneasy. Thanks and again MERRY CHRISTMAS...

If the key won't turn, then it doesn't fit the lock. It might be a problem in the lock cylinder, but more likely, the key is just worn out. Either pay a locksmith to make an "impression" key, or try to get a dealership to cut you one "by the numbers".

Ok, you broke this bit

Bout 9 bucks at Ford.

Possible to take it out with out removing the door panel, but pretty easy to get to if you do remove the panel.

That is looking back at the lock from the inside. Pull out the sheet metal clip from the jam outside and the lock cylinder comes out the front.
