Tranny Cooler Lines

93 f150, 5.8L,e4od: Hi, I was doing some exaust work and I clipped one of my tranny cooler lines with the cutting wheel. I cut it all the way through and put a piece of rubber hose over it. My dad told me that the hose is going to melt. It's been a couple days and it is still held up. It is fairly thick hose (about 1/4 inch walls). I'm wondering what the chances of it melting are. I guess my main question should be what kind of temperatures does tranny fluid get up to?

Highest you want your temp to reach and have the tranny last is 225ish. 250 starts to cook the internals of the E4OD. Rubber fuel line is fine.

If it's fiber-reinforced hose (pressure line), it's fine.
