i have a 96, with the 302 and 4r70w
whenever i am driving and i come to a stop you can feel the trans start shuddering like your running over those ripples in the road...anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

It sounds like warped brake rotors to me. Easy fix.

 

On the other hand, if it actually is the trans, it sunds like the T/C isn't unlocking properly. If you downshift manually to 2nd does the shudder go away?

 

it is in the trans...my brakes are fine....i havent tried to manually downshift yet but i will give that a try

ive also noticed that when i drive slow (less than 5mph) i can feel the shudder.
