1988 F150 engine problem.

hi all, i am new to this forum and just wanted to say that it looks like a great site.
well, i just bought a 1988 F150 with a straight 6 four speed. this truck runs really good but i just have at the moment one problem with the engine. it sometimes turns off just at idle and it loops abit. but onces its on and running it dose not loop. but when its warm and i come back from a drive i turn off the truck and start it up after a few it acts the same.while driving it runs good with no problem. i'm not sure what it is since i'm new to these trucks. but i am very machanicly incline so their would be no problem fixing it if i new the problem. its fuel injected. so if anyone here has come accross this problem with this year truck or just has, please help me out. thanks guys.

Howdy and welcome!

check out www.fordfuelinjection.com and read how to do a self test of the computer. Post any codes you find and we can go from there.

You lost me here. Could you define "loops"?
