DPFE question

for those of you that have had to replace this part where was the cheapest place to get it? i was just at a ford dealer and they wanted somewhere around $110.00 for it....

any help would be great

Check your local auto parts store. They will probably call it an EGR Valve Postion Sensor or something similar.

before i saw your reply i took the ford part number to the local oreillys and they tried to cross reference it and found nothing...

has anyone bought one of these anywhere other than the ford dealer?

Napa carries them in there Echelon (sp?) brand. We got one a few weeks ago for a Ford Taurus, i think it was 60 or 70 bucks.

I was able to look it up in less than two minutes at O'reilly's website and that included entering your vehicle inforamtion.

Now that you have been told what to look for, call them back or look it up yourself. Without knowing what you took them as a Ford part number, it is impossible to comment on their reported inability to cross-reference.
