help needed once again!!!

first off i want to thank everyone for all of there help so far. Your knowledge has helped me alot and im needing it once again.

my 95 f-150 4 by 4 has some kind of trailing arms on either side. they run from what ill call the knuckle or " wheel assembly" to back under the frame where they mount. any ideas what they are called? the one on the passengers side appears to be shot.

it looks like a bitch to remove from the axel so i was thinking about grinding off the rivets on the frame, installing a new bushing and then just bolting it back with some hardened bolts???? PROS or Cons??

\Thanks David James Aschenbrenner

Hey... I have recently replaced those with MOOG ones on my 1994 2wd... I took everything apart to do mine.... After I did the switch I talked to freind of mine that works in an alignment shop and he told me that when they replace those they just cut the rivets and replace with a high grade bolt ..... No problems with them wahta so ever >>>> Wish I would have known that Before I spent all day with the front end torn apart... Hope this helps...

As previously noted those are radius arms. I have found the best way to change the bushings is to take a punch and get you a dimple to hold the drill bit in the rivets and drill out the rivets and the rebolt the radius arm bracket to the frame. If you ever put a lift on the truck this will make it easier. The brackets are replaced with a suspensionlift.

The radius arm brackets are never replaced, no matter how you lift the truck. You either drop them down level with the axle with drop brackets, or use extended radius arms, witch also use radius arm brackets.
