Eddelbrock 8045 water pump

Anyone know why Eddy lists this water pump for 94-95 5.0L trucks, given that Ford's part number for OEM replacement pumps covers 94-96? I was thinking it was a typo on Eddy's site, but I thought I'd ask. Should I be aware of any reason not to use an Eddy water pump?

The aftermarket typically lists NOTHING for '96 trucks. The reason is simple. Ford in it's infinite wisdom introduced the new '97 trucks at mid-year and titled the first batches of them as '96s. Since virtually nothing is the same between the old and the new trucks and since nearly everything except the EEC-V processor and related sensors are identical between the '95s and the "old" '96s, it reduces the headaches from people calling in wondering why the GT-40P cylinder heads for a '96 won't fit their '96 mod motor.

Don't laugh, that sort of stuff happens ALL the time
