Truck missing?
I have a problem. I have a 1995 2wd 351W 5.8L. I have been having problems and not sure what it is or what I should do about it. The truck has been hesitating/missing really bad. It has just died on me twice now. I was just going down the road and it just died. It didn't sputter or anything. THe only reason I knew it had died was because when I went to get back on the gas after taking a turn it wasn't going anywhere. I look at my rpms and the wasn't any. No powersteering. So I put my turn signal on and rolled into the gas station and put it in park. Fired right up. I have came out to my truck and went to start it. Nothing no start to turn over nothing. Do it agian nothing. Third time fired right up. Sometimes it will idle around 600 RPMS and the just suddenly jump up to 1000 rpms. Now I have no idea why it is doing this. It has shifted hard and hessitated for a while. Then I checked the plugs and they looked all right and it ran all right for like a week. Now everything has went haywire. I told a buddy of mine about it and he said he thinks it is the feul pump. I have dual tanks so whats the odds of them both going out? Then dad said it "just needs to be drove on the high way" well he took my truck friday and I drove his(
). It has still did it. And he is wanting to get a new Powerstroke when the 6.6 twin turbos come out in January of 07 and by January he will have the payment down to around $7,000 left.So I have ultimately 3-4 options. I can:
A. Take over payments on his truck(2002 Black 4x4 Powerstroke 7.3) and we sell my truck and he use that money as a down payment.
B. Sell my truck and buy a guy I know's 2002 or 2003(not sure which year) F-150 King Ranch.Looks brand new. Always looks good. Not a single thing wrong with it.
C. Keep my truck(least wanting to do)
Or
D. Sell my truck and get something else.
Now for a while I was want A really bad but now the offer of B has came to me. Dad says I can get 6,500 out of my truck and he said it would take about 16-17 to get te king ranch. So actually they are pretty even price wise. I just don't know which is smarter. The KR has about 50-60K on it and dads just rolled 140K but his is a diesel too.
Ok so could anyone answer my first questions and then if you want tell me which option I should go with.
