Ok, I've got a 95 F150 4x4 that was making bad noises from the passenger side front wheel. I tracked it down to the U joint where the axle shaft meets the wheel and the bearing that supports the shaft through the spindle being wasted. How do I replace the U joint? the spot where the snap ring should be is covered with a metal plug. Also how does the bearing fit into the spindle. I havn't got it apart because I do not have a box-end wrench that fits the lower ball joint. Next question what size is the nut on the lower ball joint. Sorry for the long post I have two manuals but they provided no info.
