Unhappy How do I get something painted?

Hey guys,

Okay so there are two things I want to get for my '87 F150:

A Lund Moonvisor:

And a pair of Lund Hood Scoops:

So my question is: since these things come plain-white and have to be painted, how do I paint it?

Is it something I can do myself, or am I going to have to pay up the **** to have someone do it for me?

Mine came in black when I bought it.

For the scoops I would go to a smaller mom/pop body shop and ask if they could do it sometime when they are doing another job of the same color. I've done that for a fender I needed done, and the guy only charged me 20bucks. I did all the prep work though, he just had to shoot it.

Thanks for your post Adrian.
Can I ask:

- Where did you buy yours (do they have a website)?
- What kind of prep work would I have to do on a "ready-to-paint" (or at least I believe it says that) Lund Moonvisor and a set of Lund Hood Scoops?

If you try and paint it yourself with rattlecan touch up paint it will look horrible, have a body shop do it. Like Adrian said, the paint is the expensive part, if they already have some in the same color made up for another car they will proably shoot it real cheap. Also you may want to look in the phone book for companies that do mobile paint and bodywork. We have a guy that used to come to our dealership and set up a tent in the parking lot and paint bumper covers and pull dents. His paint work was really good and he did it cheap.
