Just bought 95 f150 with jerking issues

I just bought a 95 f150 5 spd man. yesterday and noticed it while test driving it that when driving upon acceleration it starts to jerk pretty bad. When i give it gas easily it does fine but if its in a bind it starts to jerk and jump. I was told to take a look at the plugs and plug wires and see what happens. I havent replaced them yet but was wondering what everyone thinks... Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks BJ

I would do these things, in this order:

1. SeaFoam
2. Plugs
3. Wires
4. Fuel Filter

Thats where I woukd start.

Problem resolved

It's fixed runs like a new one. From the looks of the old plugs they havent been changed in 147000 miles( thats how many miles the truck has). On the old ones the spark plugs gap was over 100 thats what my gauge goes too and it would measure it. However on the fuel filter i bought i havent been able to get the old one off i bought the filer removal tool also but still no luck will give it another shot today.

Thanks again for those who helped me figure out what was wrong.

while you're in there doing stuff, check the timing too...advanced timing can cause premature spark plug wear.
