MPG's
I was wondering what other's with trucks similar to mine are getting for MPG? I have a 96 SuperCab 4x4 XLT, 5.0/4R70W with 3.55 gears and a towing package. I'm getting about 16MPG (13.08 to a US gallon). My driving is a mix of city, freeway and country roads. The average speed would be about 45mph I would think. I could get 13MPG (10.82 to a US gallon) from my 88 F150, 2wd with a EFI 5.0/C6 combo, 3.08 gears. I know my 96 is heavier but it also has OD. I've changed the plugs (Autolites), wires (Ford Racing 9mm) and air filter to a K/N cone type and tt's got 235/75/15 Goodyear Wranglers on it.
On the last dual tank fillup it took $108CDN, at $1.109 per liter and I had driven 550KM. Most of it was on country roads with speeds about 45mph.
