brake lines are gay

well i "patched" a short section of brake line up to the passenger brake hose... also replaced the actual brake hose too (on my 90 RWD 5spd f150)... then poured 1&1/2 bottles of brake fluid to the master cylinder... pumped up the brakes, then PHHHSSSSHHH!!!... i heard the drivers side brake line give way in the same spot... brake lines are GAY!

25ft of 3/16" brake line is $11 and the fittings are $0.32 a piece. You might as well just redo the entire system.

Yeah redid every line, ENTIRE front system, rear drums/pads, booster and mastercylinder on the '88. Don't really think they are gay when I'm stopping...

whoah that's one rusty truck!

I would definitely replace the lines entirely and be done. Much less trouble than bandaid fixing things as they come up, and you'll avoid that feeling of "oh crap I have no brakes!"

BDTD, it's no fun.

The 88 is worse. Takes me twice as long to do the same thing on it as the 92 due to rust.

yeah, its a little rusty to say the least... you guys are probably right about replaceing the whole line, oh well, i think its just exeptionally rusty by the hole in the frame/strut mount, and thats where it blew on both sides.
