Problems starting
Hey guys! Need some help here. I still have my 95 F150 (4.9L) and I am currently having issues trying to start the thing when it's warm/hot. I did some research, but never did find an actual fix for the problem.
When the motor is cold, or has colded down I have no problems starting the truck at all. After I have driven it for a while and it gets at operating temp. it then becomes a pain to start. The motor will act like it's going to start (cranks over and sputters) but it just will not completely start up. I usally have to wait around 10 mins or so and try multiple times, and it will then start.
A buddy of mine suggested that it might be the EGR valve (he use to be a mechanic). My first thought was that maybe the thing was vapor locking cause I got a exhaust leak somewhere in the engine bay. I just don't want to start replacing parts and hope and pray that it works, to expensive that way. Anyone have this excat same problem? What was your cure? Opinions or suggestions? Thanks a head of time!

If it were mine id start with fixing the exhaust leak and go from there cause its something thats gonna hafta be fixed anyway and could lead you into more problems down there road. As for the hard start im not sure but im sure someone here has dealt with it and should have a solution..
Good Luck.
