ok, should i bleed the slave cylinder now? how do i do this? i know you obvousley have someone put pressure on the clutch, and crack the bleeder valve. But i hear its a pain in the ***, so if someone could tell me the proper way that would be great
Your going to bleed it basically like you would bleed brakes, but it is a pain. Let it gravity bleed for a little while first. Then have someone slowly depress the pedal while you open the bleeder. Once you have somewhat of a pedal you will no longer have to crack the bleeder loose but you will have to pump it about a thousand times (literally!) to work all of the air out of it. At least this is how i usually do it. I think the Haynes manual says pump 15 times then crack the bleeder loose, then pump another 15 times, crack it loose again, and keep repeating that procedure 20 times.
