Best way to level

Last year bought a '95 F150 4X4 and had to replace both leaf springs, which were 4 leaf. Due to a screw up at the scrap yard, I ended up with 5 leaf springs, so in addition to the extra 1/2" from the added leaf, I gained about another 3" or so from the higher arch, as a result I can now drive with my brights on and never get flashed

Anyway time to get the front end up to par with the back end, I think 2"-3" of lift should suffice, I've seen spacers in that range, I've also seen complete kits and everything in between, and I'm not sure what exactly is the best route to go in terms of cost v safety etc. There's always a textbook way to do things and then what works. At this point, budget dictates what works as long as it's safe.

So what works and what do I need to look out for?
