5.0 Throttle Body Cleaning

Please help me locate instructions for removing and cleaning the throttle body on my '97 Ford 302 V-8. I am experiencing a P-0402 code--EGR Low Flow At Idle.

A forum search provides general information, but if possible, I would like more specific directions and pictures if available.

Thank you.

Are you trying to locate the throttle body or the EGR valve?

Unless I'm missing something, you can probably just take off the intake hose and wipe out the throttle body by holding it open and wiping out with carb cleaner (don't spray the junk back into the intake)

5.0 Throttle Body Cleaning

I am trying to find detailed instructions in the removal and cleaning of the throttle body on my 5.0 ltr-302 V-8.

The code indicates that the flow of air through from the EGR is too low and I am told that the cure is to remove the throttle body and clean out the accumulated carbon.

Thanks for your reply.
