Steering

I have a 76 f-150 and when steering there is a lot of play. the steering column doesn't move but i can turn the wheel about 1-2 inches before the wheels turn. and ideas to fix this?

sounds like you need to replace the gear box (steering sector). my 73 f100 ws the same way.

thanks for the reply. i think i know what it is. i think i need to replace the drag link.
