I wish I knew your secret. I've had an '85 300 4x4 with a 4speed with granny low and it got around 15 mpg. I've got an '89 302 4x4 with auto tranny now and it won't get any more. My '99 ranger with a 3.0 and 5 speed only averages around 23 mpg and I check every tank.

i only have a striaght 6 300 its really slow and barley any acceleration what would help it?

Headers, intake, 4bbl, cam, headwork, pretty much the same as any other engine. If you're EFI, then Headerrs, cam, headwork, etc.
