Question arcing?

i just got done rebuilding my 89 4.9L and when its idling and you are under the hood you can hear an arcing sound. its not constant, its pretty random, but there is never about 5 seconds without it. it seems to go away when you give it a touch of throttle, so im not sure what im dealing with. all the wires are seated correctly, on both the plugs and the distributor. is there something i can do to identify this arcing?

put the truck somewhere dark or do it at night and see if you can physically see the arching. check to see if any of your wires are cracked.

Grab the wires one by one... You will find out real quick. Or you could just check at night.

Just recently got rid of a 72 VW that had the same sounding problem, I looked real close one day and it was arcing on teh fuel line.

Trust these guys when they say get out in the dark and look, new wires aren't always as good as you think they are, they sit on a shelf in the store and get screwed up too.
