Newbie with a ? on a 93 5.0

I'm new to the F-150 board. I have a problem with my 5.0. I bought the truck when it had just 25k back in 94. Its a 93 XLT 5.0 AEOD on it's second motor, the first on just locked up at 70MPH with no warning in the HOV lane. That was fun. Different story.

Anyway in the mornings it takes two times to get it to start, the first time it dies right away or if I switch on the defog right away. Alt gauge jumps like crazy when it tries to recover.

It feels like it's missing under a small load, like going up a small grade at 45-55mph. It will slow down 15 mph if I let it then it kicks down a gear and takes off. It will even shudder/stall (real quick) when I switch from the back tank to the front tank.

If I floor it, it goes like stink, it will even leave rubber from a dead stop, with 31.5x10 BFG KO's.

I have replaced (lately) fuel reg, fuel filter, cap, plugs, rotor, air filter, TSP, IAC valve and motor, EGR valve and solenoid, battery.

When I put a tester no codes come up and I've never had a code show lately, other than the EGR which I replaced both.

It has a K&N air fliter (stock box), headman shorty headers, flowmaster series 40 muffler, with duels, 2.75 pipes.

Any ideas or am I missing something? I know this truck and I have taken great care of it since owning, in fact people always seem it want it.

Thanks for any help or ideas.

You need to check the fuel pressure. Check it just behind the distributor on the driver's side. There is what looks like a tire valve (shrader valve) It may have a black cap on it. Fuel pressure should be 35-40 psi while idling. May be weak fuel pumps causing it to run lean. Try turning the key from off to on two to three times BEFORE starting. It may make it easier to start.

PS., check the TP sensor. The green wire should have between 0.9V and 1.0V with the key on.
