I recently noticed a clicking rattle type noise coming from either under the cab or the front driver side wheel area. I can best describe the noise as clicking two marbles together in a radom manner so it sounds like a clicking rattle. The noise is not loud enough to hear when the windows are up and is barely heard with the window down. I notice the sound only when accelerating from a stop or hitting the brakes to slow down. I have noticed it only at these times but not everytime I speed up or brake. I have not heard the noise when maintaining speed and it does not happen when I hit a bump.

I got under the truck (with it parked) and could not see anything that looked like it had been banging and everything looked solid. I did attempt to jiggle the driveshaft and it felt solid.

Anyone have any ideas?

 

sounds to me kinda like rocks stuck in tour tire treads. They will make noise like that.

 

Just checked, no dice or rocks.
