What was the last year of the F150 solid front axle?

I'm thinking about starting up another F150 pulling truck and have a few questions...

What was the last year of the solid front axle?
What was the rear-end size and maximum gears for that year?
What was the stock engine size for that year?

Thanks in advance!

The 150s had the dana 44 up to 79. After that they got the I-beam front ends.

The 350s had dana 60s up front. You can find them with 4.11s. All super dutys 99 to present 250 or 350 have a 50 or 60 series up front.

'79 was the last year of F-150s with solid axles.

a 400 was the biggest motor offered from the factory, most came with a 351M.

Not sure what 1/2 tons ran for gears most will have 3:55, 3:73 and maybe 4:10s

Look on the inside of the door jamb on the truck and it might show you an axle code. Either that or look at the differentials, some of them had little metal tags on them with a code also. More than likely an F150 is going to have 3:55s in it, or 3:54s.
