Put custom exhaust on

hey there,
ok, i am only 16 and dont got alot of money, lets establish that. Now to what this is all about, I have a 87 f150 with the 4.9L in it. Me and my friend put some custom duals on it, I put a glasspack on it and stayed with the 2 1/4" pipes, and split it into duals after the rear end..it looks nice, i got some nice tips on it. But its not very loud, i also had a flowmaster on there for like a day..that wasnt very loud either. Is there anything I can do to make it louder, or is the 4.9 not meant to be loud. Thanks for any comments or suggestions. I also have this in the exhaust section, but i figured the more comments the better.

ok..well about the cats, i dont beleive i can considering i have to pass emissions, i was thinkin bout removing the glasspack i have on there and just put a pipe in its place. If i did that..would i experience a power loss at all, and what is the ups and downs to removing the muffler/glasspack and running straight pipes like that.

I bleave there is to cats on there a big one and a little one replace the big cat with a high flow cat you can get them form summit or jegs. My friend did that and he said there was a big difference.
