Smile 1/4 mile performance

First off. Great Forum. Wish I had found it before I started my modifications.
My truck is a 1994 Ford F150 shortbed. It has a 302 with factory mass air, 470Rw Auto Trans, and stock 3.08 gears. The shortblock is stock with the exception of a Crane 2020 cam. I have had the heads professionally ported, I had the flow numbers but I can't seem to find them right now. I have added the upper and lower Edelbrock truck performer manifold, BBK dual 56mm throttle body, roller rockers, shorty headers, Dual exhaust. K&N Filter, underdrive pulleys, and level 10 shift kit in the trans.

My best time slip so far is:

R/T .673 (oops)
60 2.495
330 6.863
1/8 10.462
MPH 68.77
1000 13.523

1/4 16.158
MPH 84.45

I have a set of 3.73 gears that I just have not had the time or money to get in. I have been looking at the granatelli larger mass air sensor, but they are expensive. Anybody know if they are worth it? I have also been considering a chip? But am at a loss as to which one to get?
At this point in time I can put about $500.00 more into but I want to be solidly in the 15's. Your suggestions and comments would be very appreciated. Thanks.

Nice times....very similar to mine. From comparing them, I come off the line better but you are pulling alot better on the top end.
R/T - .187
60 - 2.215
330 - 6.610
1/8 - 10.258
MPH - 67.87
1000 - 13.433
1/4 - 16.159
MPH - 82.31

My mods:
Underdrive Pullies
Air Filter
Long Tube Headers
True Dual Exhaust
3.73 Gears
2200 Stall converter
TransGo Shift Kit

Uve done some internal stuff.....thats what I am planning on doing.

BEASTIE

Our trucks run almost identical.

How much ET drop did you get with the 3.73 gears?

Anybody know how much that NOS sysytem costs?

The 3.73s dropped my 60' from 2.4s to low 2.3s/high 2.2s. And 1/4 from, 17.1s to 16.6s. So they helped out alot. The gears were a nice mod. I went from 3.31s to 3.73s.

I want more!!!!! I'm looking for high 14s all engine., but still being reliable enough to tow my boats when I need to. Too many very mildly modden Gen 1 Ls are beating me. Most of them around here are running 14.9s-15.1s. And well then I got my friend with the turbo....but he's in a league of his own. I still have a long time before I am going to do anything major. I want to run some 15s with only bolt ons.

I hate you guys with factory roller motors and already larger cams! If I'd had a roller motor stock I'd have tossed in a stock 302HO cam when I had the front off for a water pump change. I do have the nubs for the spider tray they just aren't drilled or tapped. I wonder if I could drill and tap them?

Ah well, I have a good lead on a good 1995 roller block I am going to try to get. If I get it, I will get some decent heads <$450 so I can make 275-300hp.
