Does anyone know how hard it is to install a remote entry system on a 96 F150 that already has power locks. The dealership wants to charge $269 to install.

 

I installed one on my dad's car and it was pretty straight forward, just follow the wiring diagrams. Hardest part for me was trying to find out where to mount the control module and the shock sensor. BTW it is a Viper Alarm. I dont know if you can buy them off the shelf, I got it straight from a distributor.

 

there is a shop around here that you can get just keyless entry installed for $99
