F150 7700?

Hey guys. I keep seeing 97 and up F150s with an extension on the badging that says 7700. I don't know if it those are in the US or not, but I see them mostly on company trucks or work trucks.

Any ideas on what the F150 7700 is?

Pete

yeah, notice the 7 lug nuts on them. They had a heavier rear axel and a heavy duty cooling system too I think.

When the "old" new style came out in '97 they made an F-250 that was the F-150 body style. I believe major differences were heavy duty frame, suspension, cooling, axles, etc. Then I think in '99 they changed the model to an F-150 7700. Basically what they changed were the badges, no longer did it say F-250, it now said F-150 7700. I hope this explanation wasn't too confusing!
