80 mm Mass Air on a 1994 F150
What is needed to install a 80mm mass air on my 5L , can I use the sensing unit from my 57mm mass air or do I need to use another one and can I use the same injectors or do I go bigger.
Will I need a custom chip programmed for it ? All info appreciated, the 80m came off of a Mark 8 Lincoln.

Beastie, so should I use the sensor out of the old one or the new one. I tried the old one but the motor appeared to be backfiring like a carbed motor, and there was no pickup at all , studdered and popped till I got rolling
Wait I'm confused? Which sensor is the old and the new.....If it ran bad, did you try cleaning the sensor wires inside the mass air sensor itself?

Think of the MAF meter, the injectors and the PCM as a matched set. If you change or modify one, you have to change or modify the other two. Assuming the Lincoln had 19# injectors, then you're OK with the injectors, but the PCM is going to be looking for a signal that might or might not be compatible with the Lincoln MAF's output. It might work, it might not but it's not going to give you any huge increase in performance even if it does work.
Send the meter to Pro-M and they can calibrate it for you. You will most likely have to use the truck meter plug if you don't but it probably will not idle correctly? I tried a C/L on mine and it was horrible. I also had to cut one of the wires in the plug. Pro-M can also walk you through what you need to do. Pro-M
