How to eliminate TQ lockup
I'm not sure what transmission you have, but I know that the E4OD will still lock up the convertor even if the tranny is in drive(overdrive button pushed).
The only way that I know of to keep it unlocked is to unhook your brake on/off switch and jumper across it. The computor will think that your brakes are applied and wont let the convertor lock up. Your brake lights will be on all the time, but I dont think that will bother you at the track.

Unplug the harness from the switch and use a piece of electrical wire to connect the 2 wires (on the harness) together.

Why would you rather have it locked? It isnt locked in 1st and 2nd gear...and when it locks in 3rd gear it makes my rpms drop like 300 and that hinders my performance....BTW which wire is the torque converter lockup one? I would rather have a switch like that.
The torque convertor is not locked in 1st and second it is unlocked. If it was locked you would not be able to sit and idle with your truck in gear. The main purpose of the lockup is to gain fuel milage. All torque convertors have a small amount of "slippage". When it locks you have no slippage(the reason your RPM's drop). No slipping+lower rpms=better fuel milage.
I have heard different opinions on wether or not to use a lockup convertor at the track. I am curious to know what you times do with it always unlocked.

Technically, the only way to get a really good look at what it does to the truck at the track is to run 3 runs with the wire in the harness and then run 3 more times with the wire out and the harness connected properly. Make sure that each time you run the truck that it is in the same conditions. ie. truck cools down for 20 minutes in between each run, etc. I know the weather and track conditions could change but that is something that you can not control. Your truck conditions is in your hands. Keep good records and let us know how you make out.

Or how to jump the brake switch wire(s) so the PCM thinks the brakes are on so the pcm won't lock up the converter.
See, He has an issue in or around 3rd gear while drag racing and suspects the TQ is trying to lock up. He wants to eliminate the TQ lock up so he can determine whether or not that is actually the problem. I think he is confering with other automatic drag racers and his trans builder.

Ok Beastie my brake switch is mounted right on my brake pedal arm. It has 2 wires, both green. I unplug the connector. I jump those 2 at the connector together(Use something of equal or lower guage) and the brake lights come on and the computer thinks my brakes are on. Hopefully this keeps the TQ from lockin up for you. Hopefully yours is similar.
