Impossible EGR vavle removal

My god I can't get the little booger off, spent 2 hours yeasterday with a wrench on it and a 3' pipe on the handle for more leverage and it still wouldn't budge. Just waiting for something to slip and my hood get's a nice dent of my face on the underside.

Any idea's?

Heat will work, trying to force something will cause it to break and cause you more aggravation than its worth. If all else fails resort to the "blue tipped wrench"

The trick is to hit it sharply. If you put a pipe on it and slowly turn it, you'll strip it. It (the wrench or pipe) needs to be hit sharply. A single-jack mini sledge works well.

I replaced my EGR valve last month and I believe I went clockwise to loosen, I was amazed. I had a hard time and decided to hit it and try the other direction. On my other Bronco, I used the Ford jack and placed it under the wrench to give me leverage. Hard to explain but that worked too.
