'93 Lightning Performance Questions

I am the proud new owner of a '93 Lightning. Unfortunately I don't have the documentation, but at least it is a Lightning. I am looking for some quick and easy performance enhancements. Right now the truck is almost bone stock, except for a crappy Flowmaster muffler (which WILL be changed, eventually), which the original owner put on it. I put an MSD 6AL Ignition Control Box on it myself. I'm looking for some possible tweaks to the timing, so I need the input of some fellow Lightning owners. In the near future, I am also looking at buying a Perma Cool Six Pass Cooler for the transmission, a K&N Fuel Injection Performance Kit, and some new spark plugs and wires. I welcome any comments, suggestions, and criticism.

MMmmmm..... Lightning

I think there are a couple guys here they can help you out.

There's always the "what should I do first enhancments" I believe these are the basic. Like I said before, there are some more people that can tell you how much of a difference they will make.

1. Intake
2. Superchip
3. Exhaust
4. Ignition
5. Gears
6. Pulleys

Those are the basics I can think of.

Great purchase...I wish I had one. Well lets see what you can do. Put an intakeo n there....you can make your own by using the intake piping off of the PSD and get a filter, I have heard it works good. Let some long tube headers and true dual exhaust...Pickel Performance has an entire kit for your truck and that is what I would go with. Put on some Underdrive Pulleys, convert the clutch fan to dual electric fans, get a Facotry Tech Valve Body for your transmission. Then I would get a chip (Superchip). Or you can do like one of the guys down by me and put a T-76 Turbo on there and it will run 12s

And the NLOC is the complete source for anything that pretains to that truck.
