Yeah, someone told me that this was a easy swap. Basically, find some 5.0 headers, which is really easy and supposedly it will bolt right up to my 351 (5.8)

Is this true?

They'll fit the heads, they might not fit in the chassis. The 351 is a taller and wider engineand the relationship of the exhaust system to the engine is going to be very different. You may end up running into something important.

 

Nope! Not true!

351 is a taller block, hence the heads are taller in relation to the exhaust which puts the exhaust ports in a different position in the engine compartment than the 302. Headers for a 302 will be too short and not reach to the y-pipe. You could have the y-pipe modified, but why bother, just get headers for your 351 and go down the road.

 

Cool. Sounds good guys. Thanks for the input. I'm going to have to take some new pictures of my truck soon here I think. Damn snow has it all dirty and stuff though.
