I was just thinking about my future mods and was wondering if a 3" body lift will clear 33" tires?

Right now, it'running the stock size, 31x10.5x15's, on 15x7" wheels.

I know a lot of people recommend a suspension lift, but I was looking at the suspension lifts and didn't like the prices of them (I'm kinda just going for the look of it).

Also, anyone have a key points to share regarding installing the body lift?

yes it will clear 33's fine.

 

what year truck are we talking about here? body lifts are easy to install, especially if you have access to air tools. 33's will fit with a 3" body lift with no problem if the truck is 2wd. if its 4wd you might not even need the lift to fit 33's. suspension lifts are a lot more, but they are worth it if youre willing to spend the $$$.

 

do I have to extend brake lines, etc...Is this hard?

 

I have a 1996 f150, 4x4., automatic with touch button 4 wheel drive.

The only thing I'm worried about is extending brake lines and messing with the wires or cables that go from the inside of the truck to the transmission and transfer case.

3" is morn enough, I have a 92 that I left the rear at stock height and put a 2" leveler on the front and had no problems with 33's
