check engine light killing me

Ok guys, I no longer have the 89 but have a 92 bronco which is the same really. so I have some questions I need help with. Check engine light is ocoming on and then off. goes on for like 20 secs then goes off. All this after I was wheeling. Oil pressure is fine, has oil, tranny fluid. the coolant seems fine although I am getting a wierd smell from it. not sure what to look for.

need help please.

check engine light usually emissions related, do a code scan and post the codes, I can look them up in my book.

My `88 F150 was fussy when it got wet underneath: The check engine light would come on , turns out it was the O2 sensor on the catalytic , wires were chafed , allowing water to cause the light to come on.

Hope this helps.

Yeah but I have been using this all along with no problem till I put a muffler and tailpipe on it. That didnt even bother it. It was after I went offroading that it went on. I have to check the codes. My reader is broke and I need to buy a new one. Hopefully I will get one today and read the codes. Thanks for the help.
