Transfer Case Question
I can't seem to get my f150 to shift into 4low. It an automatic with manual transfer. Ive tried it in neutral and park, but the transfer shift wont go into neutral. Is there some thing I should look for??

First, the transmission must be in neutral with the truck completely stopped, it won't go into 4L in park. (without grinding the gears anyway)
Have you tried moving the shifter sideways before pulling it into neutral? I can't remember the shift pattern exactly, but I do remember having to move the shifter sideways before pulling it from 4H into neutral or from neutral into 4L, I can't remember which.
Also, the shifters on the 95 and the 97 I had were both VERY stiff and it took some effort to shift them.
Now I just reach up and flip a little switch on the dash!
